Food Laboratory
The Department of Food Technology and Nutrition offers to our students and teachers and researchers a modern laboratory equipped with high tech instruments and appropriate specifications for teaching and research activities. In these facilities the student has the opportunity to “learn by doing”, and collaborate on the research work developed in the Department.
The equipment is divided into three labs that allow the development of practical teaching activities of the subjects in the Degree of Dietetics and Human Nutrition Science and Food Technology. It also has areas dedicated to the development of the activities of the three research groups attached to the Department: Clinical Nutrition Group and Oxidative Stress, Cyclodextrins Encapsulation Technology Group of Dairy Products and Meat.
El Departamento de Tecnología de la Alimentación y Nutrición ofrece a nuestros estudiantes y profesores-investigadores modernos laboratorios equipados con instrumental de alta tecnología y con características técnicas adecuadas para realizar actividades docentes y de investigación. En estas instalaciones el estudiante tiene la oportunidad de “aprender haciendo”, y colaborar en las tareas de investigación desarrolladas en el Departamento.
El equipamiento está distribuido en tres laboratorios que permiten el desarrollo de las actividades de docencia práctica de las asignaturas de los Grados de Nutrición Humana y Dietética y de Ciencia y Tecnología de los alimentos. Además se dispone de espacios exclusivos para el desarrollo de las actividades de los tres grupos de investigación adscritos al Departamento: El grupo de Nutrición clínica y estrés oxidativo, el de Encapsulación de ciclodextrinas y el grupo de Tecnología de productos lácteos y cárnicos.
